Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)

Rating: 4/10
Runtime 126 minutes

There are two things I dislike about Marvel movies.

The first is the almost indestructible superheroes, which means you need more powerful villains.

The second is that you never figure out the rules of the movie until it's over.

There is no way to predict how the good guys will defeat the bad guys, because they always seem to use some trick that no one has ever seen before.

It has the element of surprise, but it's not an honest yet predictable surprise; it's simply a surprise because there is no way the audience could possibly have known about it.

While "Doctor Strange" is presumably not indestructible, he always pulls some new magic trick out of his sleeve.

And with the multiverse, we are constantly skipping from one universe to another where no one seems to understand the rules.

Call me old-fashioned, but I like my movies to have some sort of coherent, comprehensible sense to them.

You should not watch Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness if... Whats the deal with...
Warning: The following may contain spoilers:

What's the deal with "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness"? Now, don’t get me wrong, I love a good superhero flick as much as the next guy, but this title is a mouthful! You know a movie’s complex when you burn calories just saying its name.

And let's talk about Doctor Strange’s powers for a second. He can bend time, space, reality, and yet, he still can't fix his own goatee? Come on, Doc, you're a surgeon! You'd think he'd have steadier hands for the close shave.

Then there's the whole Multiverse concept. I mean, can you imagine the kind of FOMO Doctor Strange experiences? There's always a party happening somewhere in some reality that he's not invited to. It's the ultimate paradox, being the life of the party and missing out on it at the same time!

And as for the madness part, I suppose if I had to deal with an infinite number of realities, each one more absurd than the last, I'd go a little mad too. It's like trying to keep track of all the different streaming services.

And let’s not forget the cape, folks. It’s like the world’s most expensive security blanket. You know you've made it when your clothing has its own character arc.

Also, can we talk about the villain? In most movies, the villain has some master plan to take over the world. In this one, he just wants to mess with the laws of physics. It's like fighting an evil Neil deGrasse Tyson.
