What's the deal with "Anniyan?"I mean, here's a guy, he's a successful lawyer by day, a sociopathic vigilante by night, and a supermodel in his spare time. I can barely handle one job, let alone three! And the most confusing part? He doesn't even know he's doing all three. Talk about multi-tasking!
And the love story? This guy's got multiple personality disorder and the girl still falls for him. I can't get a date and I only have one personality, maybe I should try his approach!
And how about the punishment scenes? They're supposed to be terrifying, but they're so over-the-top they're hilarious! I mean, a guy gets turned into a roach and then squashed? That's not justice, that's a Looney Tunes cartoon!
Ghajini (2005):
If you loved Anniyan, another incredibly popular Tamil-language psychological action thriller movie to check out would be Ghajini. Directed by A.R Murugadoss, Ghajini features a challenging role for Suriya as the protagonist suffering from short-term memory loss. The movie was a substantial commercial success and praised for Suriya's engaging performance.
Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (2006):Fans of Anniyan would likely enjoy the suspense and thrilling story woven in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. Directed by Gautham Menon, it stars Kamal Haasan. The movie is about an honest police officer intent on tracking down a terrifying serial killer. Kamal Haasan's stellar performance and the gripping narrative ensure an interesting watch.
