Nobody (2021)
"Nobody" is an exceptional revenge fantasy film.
The protagonist, Hutch, is perceived as a pushover.
He consistently allows others to take advantage of him.
Even when physically assaulted, he turns the other cheek.
Such behavior earns him no respect from his wife and teenage son.
However, it is revealed that Hutch has a tough side and has his limits.
Bob Odenkirk not only stars in the film, but also conceived its idea. He experienced a home invasion twice, each time while his wife and children were present. The police advised him that he was right not to retaliate, but he later contemplated how he would have handled the situation if he were more assertive.
This film is the outcome of that thought process.

What's the deal with "Nobody"? It's like John Wick retired to the burbs, but then started taking out the trash - both figuratively and literally.
Then we have the legendary Christopher Lloyd playing Hutch's dad. Seeing Doc Brown from Back to the Future suddenly transform into a shotgun-wielding grandpa is like watching Mary Poppins join a biker gang.
But the most amusing thing about "Nobody" is that despite its ludicrous premise, it's undeniably entertaining. It's like a cheeseburger - you know it's not gourmet, but dang it, sometimes you just want a cheeseburger.
The Accountant (2016)
"The Accountant" is another film that mirrors the unique combination of typical family life and violent action found in "Nobody". Ben Affleck stars as a high functioning autist who is more than capable of defending himself. The movie is packed with action and features an intriguing storyline.
John Wick (2014):If you enjoyed "Nobody", you might find the "John Wick" series appealing. It's about a retired hitman played by Keanu Reeves, who returns to his brutal life after the death of a loved one. Just like "Nobody", "John Wick" boasts well-choreographed action scenes and a compelling storyline.
Atomic Blonde (2017):"Atomic Blonde" is another solid pick. Directed by David Leitch, this action thriller features Charlize Theron as an MI6 agent. The film has a similar dark humor and sleek action sequences that you'd appreciate if you loved "Nobody".
Jack Reacher (2012):If you enjoyed the unique blend of action and mystery in "Nobody", "Jack Reacher" would be another good choice. Starring Tom Cruise, the movie is based on Lee Child's book series. Jack Reacher, like Hutch Mansell in "Nobody", is a man who doesn't go looking for trouble - but it has a nasty habit of finding him.
A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014):This thriller might be to your liking if you enjoyed "Nobody". With Liam Neeson playing an ex-cop turned private investigator, "A Walk Among the Tombstones" echoes the gritty, suspenseful atmosphere and tight storytelling found in "Nobody".
