Swallow (2019)

Rating: 8/10
Runtime 94 minutes

"Swallow" is an extremely tense thriller about a young pregnant wife who turns to pica, a compulsive eating disorder, in order to regain some semblance of control.

In her married life, while she lives in a gilded cage, her dominant husband insists on her total submission to him.

The tension quietly builds as Hunter meekly submits to her husband, but in private, swallows thing after dangerous thing.

I thoroughly recommend this movie.

Warning: The following may contain spoilers:

The main character, Hunter, is a newlywed housewife who develops a taste for inedible objects. I mean, I get it, we all have our cravings. Mine's for chocolate, hers just happens to be for marbles, thumbtacks, and batteries. I guess she missed the memo about a balanced diet.
